We were compensated with a Jimu Robot and gift card from Best Buy in order to make this content. It in no way shaped our opinions in the post.
My son has had an interest in building robots since he was a toddler. I’ve always been a believer in nurturing the interests of a child, no matter what they are, but never quite knew how to help him with robotics at such a young age. Now, with the help of STEM products (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) like the UBTECH Robotics Jimu Robot at Best Buy, my son is able to explore that interest and take it to the next level. After all, as parents, we should be helping them discover what they are passionate about.
This is why I was so excited to get on board with Jimu and other STEM products. Not only does he enjoy them, but I literally melt at the sight of seeing my child’s mind expand with confidence as he develops logic and problem-solving skills. And let’s be real, my eight-year-old is able to do something as incredible as build an actual robot!

This has kind of been a dream come true for us. As a homeschool parent, I am always worried I’m not able to provide the right tools to help my child harness his talents. Now, he has a way to build and build again with a product that is fun, safe, easy to work with and encourages him to explore possibilities. Who knows what he’ll build at twelve years old!
This may be the very toy that inspires his life’s work for all I know, or it may be something that allows him to understand whether robotics is something he really loves. Either way, I’m ecstatic to be able to give him the tools to further his own understanding of what he might want to pursue in his adult life.
If your kid has an interest in robotics this is a no brainer and would be an awesome addition to your child’s play or school curriculum.
The Jimu Robot is available at Best Buy. It runs $149.99 and is recommended for kids 8+.
