The Cliffs of Moher are one of the most magnificent sights in the world. The cliffs tower a dramatic 390 feet above the Atlantic Ocean along Ireland’s western coast in County Clare. And just above them lies the most perfect bed & breakfast, the Sea View House Doolin.
Doolin is a tiny Irish village situated at the edge of the Cliffs of Moher which you may already know is a truly breathtaking sight and has become a tourist mecca for sightseers from around the globe. And where there are tourists, there’s a demand for overnight stays.
And trust me, you definitely want to spend a night at the Sea View House Doolin.
The Cliffs of Moher & the Sea View House Doolin
If the Cliffs of Moher are not part of your plans along the Wild Atlantic Way then you’re failing. And you only live once right! So, fix that itinerary and make sure Doolin is on it.
Now Doolin is no “one-horse town” as we call places like this in the United States. Doolin is likely a four-horse town, all four horses being owned by the most charming, and most gracious of hosts in this sleepy edge of the earth, Niall and Darra -owners of our favorite Storybook Bed & Breakfast in Doolin, the Sea View House.
The Sea View House sits high upon the tiniest of hills in this tiniest of villages along the grandest of sea cliffs. It overlooks the Atlantic Ocean along the Wild Atlantic Way, beautiful rolling Irish farm hills, the downtown area of just a handful of vintage shops, including an authentic Irish pub and restaurant, and even an old Irish castle in ruins.
The Fairytale Traveler Report
During our trip along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, we stayed with Niall and Darra at the Sea View House and we were absolutely charmed from the moment we met them. Tired and weathered from the adventures of the days prior along the Wild Atlantic Way, we just wanted a comfortable night’s rest and good food. We got far more than that!
I’ll never forget the most comfortable bed and linens our tired bodies met from the Dingle Peninsula to Achill Island -and very well received! Staying at Sea View House was like having family in Ireland.
The warm Irish welcome and comforts of home were at every corner. Breakfast at the Sea View House was far better than anything I could ever whip up!
I snuck down to meet Niall and Darra while they were slaving away in their gourmet kitchen overlooking the rolling hills. They offered a fine spread of homemade delights, all locally harvested.
The Little Fairytale Traveler even went to find fresh eggs on their farm with their lovely son. Staying at the Sea View House was everything we needed it to be and more. I tell everyone to stay with them, and we hope to visit them again soon!
