This article is sponsored by Kia Motors America. We were given a 2017 Kia Niro Hybrid to take on a road trip adventure that began in Pigeon Forge. This in no way shaped my opinions in this post. Special thanks to O.B.I.C. Stables owner Angela for offering us a discount.
I love adventure. But what I really love about adventure are the experiences and unique accommodations. That’s exactly what we had when we stayed in a luxury Airbnb teepee in Lynchburg, VA to wrap up our Fall in the Mountains road trip with Kia. After Driving from Atlanta to Pigeon Forge, through the Great Smoky Mountains into Linville Falls, and along the Blue Ridge Parkway, we found ourselves heading towards southern Virginia. It was here where we found one of the most unique places to stay, pretty much ever. It gave me a whole new perspective on rustic glamping.
I’m telling you, this was AWESOME!
I’ll admit, at first I was a little hesitant to book this stay. But after seeing the photos and chatting with Angela the property owner, I felt pretty good about it. Let me tell you, that’s an understatement.
Picking Up Where We Left Off – Our Last Day of Adventure
We had just spent the morning cooking our breakfast over a campfire after spending the night camping along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was a beautiful day. The air was crisp, the fall colors were bright and the sun was perfectly shining into the Kia Niro sunroof as we made our way through the North Carolina Mountains and into Virginia.
We spotted a perfect apple orchard along the way with a quaint pumpkin patch out front. It was the kind of place you would picture in a movie, like Fried Green Tomatoes. A perfect little cottage with old country signs stood at the foothill of the farm. The scent of sweet apples filled the air.
I could not resist making a pitstop here.
