The Game of Thrones Season 6 Trailer, Teasers, and Poster

Is it me or is the Game of Thrones season 6 trailer totally a day maker today? After death of Jon Snow and the traumatizing (yet mildly amusing) epic walk of shame made by Cersei we were all left saying “no flickin way”. And then the wait began. The long drawn out wait until the first trailer.

So far we’ve been dished a few teasers (see below) and a poster of Jon (hopefully still alive) Snow. We’ve all been dying to get a glimpse of a full trailer and now we have it. Can we say, day made.

The trailer opens with the death of Jon Snow. We all have our conspiracy theories on this one, but for the sale of this trailer he’s dead.

We see Cersei begin to plot her revenge on anyone and everyone who has done her family wrong.

Melisandre confesses to having misleading visions.

Jorah continues his search for Daenarys while she’s seen walking with a cattle drive of people (looking like a complete hot mess).

Bran Stark is seen face-to-face with the Night King (and he looks way different than season 5).

The trailer teases every major storyline in Game of Thrones season 6 and back into season 5 showing an epic slew of violence. I saw lots of filming in Northern Ireland in there as well which is great. This means we may see even more film locations added to the Game of Thrones trail.

We see glimpses of possible directions. Here are some ideas:

  • Boltons burning an upside-down man. Stannis?
  • Sansa Stark in a fur coat. Power?
  • Arya Stark still looking like she’s possessed.

Whatever the case, we are all dying to see the Game of Thrones season 6 premiere on April 24th. So save the date, grab a bottle of whatever you’re drinking and lets geek out. I’ll be posting in twitter. Hope to see you there!
