Chances are if you’ve landed here it’s because you’re looking for a place to spend a night or two while exploring filming locations in Senoia (or as it’s affectionately called, you’re a Walker Stalker). Super, you’re in the right place. The historic Veranda Inn is Senoia’s (A.K.A. Woodbury’s) number one place for lodging, uh hem, only place for lodging, and it lives perched on a perfect little hill just blocks away from where AMC is filming The Walking Dead.
On my recent trip back to Senoia to explore the film locations I got the chance to stay a night at the Veranda Inn. This was just two weeks after I had originally had been there with Atlanta Movie Tours. It was then when I noticed the beautiful white-pillar wrap around porch which caught my eye, and I figured it was worth the visit to stop back in and give it a proper sampling.
The historic Veranda Inn sits perched on a little hill at the top of old cement steps. Tall white pillars invite you to take a closer look, maybe a swing on their porch where you are met with rocking chairs and chandeliers. To the right is a lush little courtyard with overgrown vines and a little old red barn. The left a winding path that leads you to the street just one block from Main Street (the scene of Woodbury and home of The Walking Dead Cafe and The Walking Dead Gift Shop).
It fits Senoia just right and is perfect for getting knee-deep into the feels of this sleepy little southern Georgia town.
Just across the street from the Veranda Inn is the parking lot where Atlanta Movie Tours boards their awesome sauce tour of The Walking Dead filming locations. If you’re making a weekender out of this fan trip, this is the perfect spot to call it a day.
Veranda Inn Deets
The Veranda Inn offers unique accommodations for small to larger groups. With a simply stunning antique interior and helpful staff, this really is a great place to hang your…crossbow, or staff, or whatever weapon of choice for the zombie apocalypse. (Don’t bring weapons… jokes). The inn offers a 9 a.m. breakfast daily (included), and afternoon sweets.
Need to book a night go here
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Veranda Inn and highly recommend it to anyone heading to Senoia. I can’t think of one single thing I didn’t like about the experience. Its location, charm and staff made it a place to visit again and again.

I’m sure it varies based on season and day of week. I suggest calling, they are very nice.
