As a reviewer for Best Buy, I was hcompensated with free product however, this in no way shapes my opinion. It just makes bringing you the deets easier, and I ‘m okay with that.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love the Chromecast brand. I’ve always been team Android because of its play nice relationship with Google. I use Google for everything. I backup photos to Google from my phone automatically, I do all my admin work in Google Drive, I use Google Play for my music, I even use the Snapseed App to edit my photos (for those of you not in the know, it’s Google’s amaze balls photo editing app). I love everything Google. Especially the all new Chromecast Audio.

My Love of Chromecast – The Brand that Makes My Life Easier

When Google launched its Chromecast brand back in 2013, my entire entertainment life changed as I knew it. Overnight, gone were the days of needing a special browser to stream Netflix. Gone were the days of binge watching on my 15″ laptop which sat right in front of my 55″ TV. And like many, gone were the days of paying for cable. Yeah, a big fat “BUH-BYE!”. I now stream my YouTube, Netflix and Hulu right to my TV, anywhere there’s a Wi-Fi connection (and that means hotels too).

Just When I thought Google Thought of Everything – Chromecast Audio

Just as self-explanatory as it sounds, Google Chromecast came up with a way for us to stream our music to any speaker in our home with a RCA, 3.5mm or optical input. Just like the Chromecast for streaming video, you plug it in, launch the app and viola! You’re listening to your tunes over Wi-FiThis means that sweet surround sound set you have, yup. It also enables you to play music on your speakers, new or old, wirelessly from your phone, laptop or tablet.  And since Chromecast Audio uses Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth, you can stream crystal clear hi-res sound.

I can listen to my favorite jams on my favorite speaker – This is such a game changer. I use my phone to operate the music (pause, volume, selection) while hearing it on my speaker at home. This means that expensive surround sound system I have. Hello holiday parties! Plus I can still use my phone to text and make calls without it draining my battery.
