So the entire geek-loving planet knows that the last four days were dedicated to San Diego Comic Con. Everybody who’s anybody was there for panel discussions, Q&A sessions, meet and greets, a whole slew of promo displays beyond your wildest dreams and more.

 

San Diego Comic Con is the Superbowl of nerdom. Over here at The Fairytale Traveler we are uber stoked about an epic butt load of new films, current TV shows, toys and games, but nothing quite compares to the release of Star Wars 7 the Force Awakens.

So to commemorate our undying, unwavering bleeding hearts for the king of Comic Con and nerd loving universe, we are bringing you the awesome, hands down out the door, KICKASS Star Wars Comic Con Reel which gives you a behind the scenes look at the production of the most anticipated movie of the year. Up until today this was exclusive to SDCC fans and attendees at Hall H, now I get to share the nerdgasm with you!

 

So don’t hold back, don’t wait until later, silence the house, silence your boss, silence your children, pull over your car (you shouldn’t be reading and driving anyway dummy), and watch the

YES!!!! SWEET!!!!!

Came to mind when this was released. I mean it really gives you an inside look at what’s going into the making of this film. This isn’t just technology laced with a revamped story board, this is movie magic! It’s a marriage of classic production techniques and modern film technology to deliver us a Star Wars we’ve only dreamed of. I don’t know about you but I am head over heels in LOVE with the making of this film. It may be the coolest production ever.

Fans at San Diego Comic Con Were Given an Epic Surprise

Fans at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H were treated to an exclusive special look at this Comic Con reel unraveling a behind the scenes peek of Star Wars the Force Awakens. And to the utter sheer delight and surprise to fans, it was with the cast and filmmakers!

Typing that literally gives me goosebumps.

Director J.J. Abrams, Producer and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Writer Lawrence Kasdan joined cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford for this epic fan surprise.

And need I say, how flickin rad is that!

At the end of the Hall H presentation, the entire Star Wars loving audience exceeding 6,000 were invited to party on and join the cast and filmmakers at a surprise Star Wars fan concert! Like, stop for just a second and wrap your mind around that.

The San Diego Symphony performed the classic Star Wars music from John Williams at the Embarcadero Marina Park South to the glow of swaying light sabers and twinkling toothy smiles.

If ever there was a night to have the best of night of your life… it was on July 10th at San Diego Comic Con. Get ready my fellow NFFs (nerd friends forever), this will be the last year I miss SDCC.   1. WOW What a crazy and buzzing Star Wars event this would have been! I am a big Star Wars fan from long ago and think growing up on Star Wars we all tend to see the characters as our friend! I wish I was there and am sure the force was with you too!

  2. What an exciting experience. My family is head over heels Star Wars, too. It must have been fun to take a peek at what’s going on in the filming of the movie. Can’t wait to see this.

  6. I love reading about Comic Con each year. I think a similar event came to Atlanta a few years ago. It was quite something to see all of the enthusiasts in costume. The energy was high and festive. I’m not much of a Star Wars of comic fan but I can definitely appreciate the energy surrounding it.

  7. Oh my goodness, this looks like so much fun! One day I’m going to take my husband to the San Diego Comic Con. I hear it’s an experience you cannot forget, and we are huge sci fi nerds. I just can’t imagine how much fun it would be. My son would probably be thrilled to come along, too.

  8. I literally cannot wait! We’ve been to see the Star Wars installation at Tussaud’s and we are now on countdown for the film. I think the world might erupt!
