Video games, and thus video game quotes, have been around for years, and they have evolved quite a bit, haven’t they?
In the beginning, we usually had games that focused on gameplay only, with little to no story, and now, it’s quite the opposite. The latest video games have an incredible storyline filled with numerous inspirational quotes, making the gaming experience even more memorable.
Personally, some quotes have done much more than just be memorable, they have helped me in difficult times and given me the wisdom nobody else did.
Sounds cringeworthy? I know, but it’s the truth, and I’m sure you will witness it someday if you haven’t already. Keeping that in mind, I will share what I think are the best video game quotes of all time.

– The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Skyrim is an outstanding open-world game that is a real classic and has some really incredible quotes as well. This is a quote by the legendary dragon and leader of Greybeards called, Paarthurnax, and it’s one of my favorite quotes of all time.
When you put a huge effort into overcoming evil nature, you come to appreciate the goodness and the wisdom that evilness brought you. On the other hand, being born good and putting in no effort will not help you realize the beauty of the good and bad side – but that is just my opinion! What do you think is better?

Up-next, we have a very inspirational meme from Persona 3. The Persona series is quite a famous RPG game developed by Atlus. Although Persona 3 is more on the fantasy side, the quotes are very much relatable and inspirational as well.
Most of the time we find ourselves stuck, trying to constantly struggle hard to find meaning in life. We are told that it’s only possible if we achieve greater things like perhaps, saving the world.
However, that isn’t true. Being ambitious is good but not to the point that it starts suffocating you. This quote by Aigis is very meaningful, emphasizing the simplicity of life and how we complicate it even more.

Call of Duty is one of the most remarkable FPS games you will ever play with Modern Warfare being on top of the list as the best COD game ever.
All COD games are built around the historical events of Wars, especially World War II. Keeping that in mind, the quote makes even more sense as, during a War, every day is a life or death situation.

Furi is an action game based around challenging yourself on defeating different bosses, one of them being Furi.
There’s a common misconception that excellence in a particular field comes from talent only – it’s true but only partially. Talent can help make something much easier, but if you don’t put in effort every single day, you won’t be able to excel in it. Furi said it pretty well, didn’t he?

Metal Gear Solid is one of the most popular stealth-based games developed by Konami. All Metal Gear Solid games are a work of art, when it comes to storyline, graphics, and even gameplay.
The big boss is one of the central characters in the Metal Gear series, and his quote about changing the world and respecting the beliefs and opinions of others is really important.
Most people fail to understand that opinions and beliefs are built around different experiences, but that doesn’t make them a fact. The world is a complex mixture of different areas, cultures, and traditions, and changing the world is not always the right thing to do.

Far Cry 3 is another top-rated FPS game with an exceptional storyline. Vaas Montenegro is the main antagonist of Far Cry 3 and the best one in the whole series too.
During the cut-scene of Jason being tied to a rock and thrown into a river, Vaas explains to him what true insanity means. Indeed, Vaas was an insane character.

BioShock is basically a first-person shooter game, but the retro-futuristic concept makes the players constantly challenge their limits.
This quote perfectly explains the game itself and is very much relatable in real life as well. In the game, choice is a major theme, and it is also a massive part of Andrew Ryan’s philosophy as well.
Although Jack was constantly given different choices, he was always controlled into believing he never had a choice. A man chooses his own destiny, while a slave obeys the commands of others.

There is a wide variety of quotes found in different video games, some are funny, others are motivational and philosophical.
The video game quotes I shared in this article are my personal favorites and my analysis of each of them is based on my opinions solely.
