Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – New Trailer Now Available

There’s only 4 months left until new Star Wars!!! I couldn’t get enough of last year’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens; I think they did an amazing job with the visuals effects, characters, just everything. When we got word about the latest, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, I was understandable elated and intrigued. First off, we have a female lead which makes this the one movie of 2016 to rule them all. Second, my beloved and most favorite villain of all time Darth Vader will be back.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Official Trailer

Lucas film’s Rogue One, which takes place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, tells the story of unlikely heroes who have united to steal plans to the dreaded Death Star. Jyn Erso, a Rebellion soldier and criminal, is about to experience her biggest challenge yet when Mon Mothma sets her out on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. With help from the Rebels, a master swordsman, and non-allied forces, Jyn will be in for something bigger than she thinks.

The cast includes Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, and Forest Whitaker. Rogue One is directed by Gareth Edwards, produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur, and Simon Emanuel, executive produced by John Knoll and Jason McGatlin, and co-produced by John Swartz and Kiri Hart.

Watching these trailers gives me chills! Even though we’re all dying to know what is going to happen with the fantastic crew from The Force Awakens, I love that we get to experience a new film on a slightly different, yet still completely, relevant story line. I’ll admit, I have always wanted to know just how the Rebels got their hands on the Death Star plans, and now we will all finally find out!
