Where to Stay for Walker Stalker Chicago the Deets

Oh my zombies loving geek fans (or shall I say ‘walker’). We are a unique bunch aren’t we? It’s likely you’ve landed on this page because you need to know where to stay when attending Walker Stalker Chicago. Fear not, I have just the answer for you. I just returned from an epic weekend at Walker Stalker Chicago and stayed in a perfectly fine location for the con, the Hyatt Regency Rosemont.

Handy enough it’s also located minutes from the O’Hare Airport.

So, Where to Stay for Walker Stalker Chicago and Why I Chose Hyatt

So for one, I’ll be completely transparent, Hyatt sponsored me. But if you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know this in no way shapes my opinion of a brand. But this is realistically the only way a blogger can tell you where to stay for Walker Stalker Chicago. So it is what it is.

But I chose them, and I chose them because they are literally attached to the convention center. Like, as in, a catwalk joins them. So that’s a mega bonus for obvious reasons. I mean, you’re on your feet all day long, you’re spending cash at the con, the last thing you want to do is drive to the con every day then drive back.

Inside the Hyatt Regency Rosemont

It’s funny, I remember being in this hotel back in like 2014 when I was a production assistant in the music industry. Had not stepped foot in there since. The hotel is nice inside, suitable enough for a few of the talent who stayed there at least. There’s bar and restaurant dining option. In my opinion the bar food is better than the restaurant for dinner. But the turkey at the restaurant is on point for lunch.

It’s a good gathering hotel, with lots of spots to kick it with your friends after the con.

The rooms are big, wish the bathroom was bigger though.

I didn’t have a robe or slippers (which I know, sounds princess-ie, but when you’re traveling it’s nice). The bed was a 7 out of 10… but overall I liked the room. I wasn’t in it much, but for the event it was perfect and very handy.

And I even had a little sitting space next to my balcony.

Tip: if you stay in a room facing the convention center you will see talent get into their fancy limos.. LOL. Good times (and behave you creepers).
