If you’re about to tie the knot and you’re planning your man’s New Jersey bachelor party, you might want to steer clear of the cringy traditional type and opt for something a little more experience like. The groom’s life is going to change forever, things won’t be the same and you can almost hear the church bells ringing. However, there’s one last opportunity to create a lasting memory of what it’s like to be single.

We’re going to help you with a list of activities for the groom and friends before that special day so you can pick something more activity-based, or chilled (or both, go all out!). Get ready to see what New Jersey has to offer when it comes to bachelor events and have a great day you can all look back on and laugh.

Where to Go and What to Do in New Jersey for Bachelor Parties

Horse Racing Betting

Here, your heart rate will go up even if you’re sitting and you won’t be breaking a sweat but it might get intense. If you’re into horse racing betting, check out Monmouth Park. You can make a friendly competition out of it to see who comes out with the most money won, or less money lost, by the end of the day. Even if you’ve never done something similar before, how hard can it be?

Test your “intuition”, play the odds and hope for the best horse (yours) to win. Just make sure you don’t let the groom spend all the money he was supposed to have saved for the honeymoon!

Hatchet Throwing

You might even sweat a little bit, but who doesn’t want to “go medieval” sometimes? A little hatchet throwing competition can be a nice throw down with huge bragging rights and it can be as cathartic as a session with a therapist (and probably a lot cheaper).

Really, it’s like an audition for the Night’s Watch, with the added bonus of safety, food and drinks. Check out Stumpy’s Hatchet House, they’re in Eatontown, Fairfield and Greenbrook. How many people do you know that can say they swung an ax at a target?

Spa Sessions

Gone are the days when spas were a female-only experience and because you should never go full medieval, guys, treat yourselves! We get it, it might be just a little bit intimidating to go into a place filled with expressions such as “mani-pedi”, “cleansing”, “deep tissue massage” and the décor to go with it, but, there are man-friendly places.

They will take care of your beards, body or face hair and will also provide the finishing touch with a soothing and relaxing massage. If you’re going suit-up, make sure you’ll look your best in it!

Skydiving

This one is almost certain to leave a few of the group watching from below, especially if they are afraid of heights. Not everyone is suited to jump from an airplane, but those that go on to do it say it’s an experience of a lifetime, so why not make it on a day to remember?

Head to the Sussex airport where you can drop from 14,500 feet and test your fears! It’s safe, fun, radical and pretty unique. Maybe you’ll like it so much you’ll take the next step (jump?) and become a licensed skydiver. Also, lots of video and photo ops for your social media!

Beer Tasting

You might think you’re already a “connoisseur” but really, are you going to pass up on the opportunity to take a private tour of a craft brewery and drink a few with your buds? See how the beer is made, get to know the whole process – from the mill to packaging – and gain valuable beer knowledge.

Who knows when that will come in handy to strike up a conversation in the elevator? Feel free to take your own food and beverages and make a whole eating event out of it!

In Closing

You don’t have to ball your eyes out all night while your man parties at some cringy club. Set him and his boys up with one of these New Jersey bachelor party experiences and he will for sure have the time of his life.
