Why I’m Going to See Moana in Dolby Cinema at AMC

I have been super excited for Moana since it was first announced by Disney. To have Polynesian mythology woven into the fabric of Disney’s collection of adaptations is beyond exciting. And can we just talk about that baby version of Moana for a hot minute! Erm-i-God! Aaaaaand how I get to take my family to see Moana in Dolby Cinema at AMC. Say it with me, super stoked!

About Moana

I’m so happy to see our newest Disney princess shape from today’s animation technology. With a storyline that will melt hearts, the film dives into the mythology of Oceania in the ancient South Pacific setting the adventurous teen Moana on a mission to find a fabled island. Her mythology-packed adventure brings her to team up with demi-god, Maui on an ocean voyage where they meet mythological sea creatures, mythical under worlds and ancient folklore.

Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows why.

CG-animated comedy-adventure, Moana is about a free-spirited youth with a mission to fulfill her ancestors quest. The film brings pack partners Ron Clements and John Musker of The Little Mermaid, The Princess Frog, and Aladdin.

And to think, I get to see it in Dolby Cinema at AMC!
