The other day my son, AKA KidFriendlyTV, and I had the opportunity to attend the press opening for Battle for Metropolis 4D at Six Flags Over Atlanta. Let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like attending a press conference in an amusement park world themed after the Justice League while all the reporters are donned in superhero capes. Literally nothing like it.

We checked out the new ride, played some games and got a little epic. We even met up with our local Atlanta friends Dayvee Sutton and Julius Droolius. So what did we think about the new ride?

Our Battle for Metropolis 4D Ride Review

The first thing you see when you get into the building is three statues of Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman. I loved these! Totally epic! Once you get to where you can see the ride there’s an animatronic Cyborg which I thought was super rad.

The ride is a 4D experience/shooting game. Kids always love those and us adult geeks love them too. I loved the special effects and mixed mediums of 4D and props. This ride is great for all ages. My tip is to sit in the front but there aren’t any bad seats. I just like being in the front.

What’s Geeky at Six Flags Over Georgia

Six Flags Over Georgia has everything from roller coasters to easier rides for younger kids and, well, anyone who hates roller coasters. Go here for a complete list of the Six Flags Over Georgia rides.

It’s home to rides like Batman,  Superman Ultimate Flight, and the Gotham City Crime Wave. The all new Battle for Metropolis adds another great ride to the fun geeky rides at the Georgia theme park. And of course, Six Flags Over Georgia boasts Metropolis, the Justice League themed world, which has a cool store and pretty sweet prizes at Metropolis Games. Batman fans will love Gotham City, the Batman themed World.

There’s even a fandom world for the little geeks in mind. The DC Super Friends world has rides for kids like Wonder Woman Flight School, the Joker Funhouse Coaster, Superman Tower of Power, the Batcopters and Harley Quinn Spinsanity. They also have the DC Super Friends Arcade here.
