    • Thank you so much Velvet, that is the best thing I could possibly hear! If I can inspire people to travel the world, then I have lived well.

I am beginning my links page this week and I will be sure to include you in it. Thank you again for your kind words. I hope we stay in touch, I can’t wait to hear of your travels!

  1. A touch of romanticism in a peculiar place that might interest you: Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin. The tour focuses mostly on the men and women who died in the fight for Ireland’s freedom between 1916 and 1921. There are lots of stories of wives waiting outside the Gaol walls waiting to hear the gun shots of the firing squads for confirmation their husbands were dead. But perhaps the most poignant story is that of Joseph Plunkett who married his fiance Grace Gifford in the prison and then, within a matter of hours, faced the firing squad. I’ve some pics up over on my blog, if you’re interested.

    • Ciara that is so sad. Thank you for sharing this with me. I am looking for material in Dublin. I will only be there for 2 short days for TBEX however, I have a full day there for a couple tours and this one sounds like a good one. Thank you xo
