Celebrating the bride and the groom’s last night of freedom is a staple when it comes to weddings, and rightfully so. It is a part of the tradition, and the send-off gives them the chance to take a break from all of the wedding preparations and bond with their friends and family.

When it comes to these hen and stag dos, one can go down the conservative route and just have a simple gathering in a coffee shop, or the more adventurous path with booze and laughter. Whatever the choice may be, the more important thing is that the bride and the groom have the best nights of their lives as unmarried individuals.

Make a List, Check it Twice

Looking for the best destinations before your wedding also means identifying who will be going, especially if a hen or stag do is part of the equation. While this is the task that belongs to the maid of honor and the best man, it wouldn’t hurt to at least know where the location will be or how much money needs to be prepared.

More often than not, it’s just the entourage and a few super close friends that are invited to these parties so it’s good to have a list of everyone’s emails to make sure everyone receives the details. Know everyone’s availability so nobody misses the send-off party.

Theme for the A-Team

The theme is something that the entourage can agree upon, but the men may want to come up with something else for the stag do. This can be a bit tricky and while the goal has always been to surprise the groom, it would be good to sense first if they’re open to having dancers at the party, or if they just want pure clean fun.

Besides, a stag do doesn’t have to be limited to just food, alcohol, and dancing women; there can also be a twist to it. For example, the guys can go on a river cruise and bask in the sights and sounds of the city. Another option would be to relive the games that were popular back in the day and go pistol shooting.

The beer bike also presents an exciting option because who says no to beer and exercise? A movie marathon may seem a bit meh for some, but it’s an excellent option for those who want to catch up on the latest movies and wolf down a bowl of popcorn.

There are so many possibilities when it comes to organizing stag dos these days. One may also want to take a peek at nearby resorts or scout for tourist spots when eyeing destinations for the wedding. The stag do can then be a perfect excuse to roam around and explore the city, or just a simple tour around the resort to check out the amenities.

Whatever the plan for the stag do may be, what’s most important is that it’s a night that the groom will never forget (aside from marrying the woman if his dreams, of course).
