It’s October, and we are just two months away from the big day of December 18th when The Force Awakens hits theaters. By now you may be feeling like the theater release is comparable to having a baby. If that’s the case, consider the release of the official Star Wars trailer the home stretch. During Monday Night Football halftime commercials on ESPN, we all got to see the trailer in its splendid glory. A huge milestone in the metaphoric birthing of the Star Wars baby we are all eager to see and love.

We’ve spent the last ten months freaking out over the last two official teasers released on the Star Wars YouTube channel. In fact if you want to tally this freak out sesh up, the three reels have collectively seen more than 123 million views! The second teaser saw the most views with over 66 million. Still, in just three days, the official Star Wars trailer has seen over 36 million views. With this in mind, I think it’s pretty safe to call it, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is going to break the internet. Okay maybe not the internet, but it’s definitely winning the box office. Still the question fans keep asking is “will it measure up to the hype”? God I sure hope so.
