Thor: Ragnarok – All Trailers, Poster, and Images for Your Geekery

There are many reasons to love the month of November, but let me allow you to love it just a little more…Hello, Thor: Ragnarok, yes we will be watching you and your star-studded cast including Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins on November 3, 2017! And just to let you know how much we love you, we’re posting all your trailers, posters and images until the film’s release.

We have some really high hopes for this one! We’re excited to see familiar faces return and meet some new friends (and foes!). And of course, Thor is always easy to look at. But apart from all that, one look at this trailer and you’ll see it screams “EPIC”. But Thor has a much more special place than just the big screen for us.

Why is Thor Such a Special Hero?

Thor has a very special place in The Fairytale Traveler world because “Thor”, as in the mythical God (according to Norse Mythology)/demi-god (according to Marvel) is the only hero who has transcended ancient myth into big screen pop culture.

You can’t go to Norway and find a Captain America stone carved 5,000 years ago in his name. Nope, not gonna happen. Likewise for every other Marvel Studios big screen hero. But, you can find places in Norway where the legends of Thor, Odin, Loki, Valkyrie, and Asgard live on. Legends told by ancient people in a place where the sky lights up like a rainbow bridge to Asgard.

Teaser Trailer

So let’s talk about this trailer. Here are the most important things we see in this teaser, the nutshell version:

  • Thor wakes up in Hel (Hela’s world) she’s the super villain played by Cate Blanchett. Sidenote: WIN for that casting!
  • Hela completely evaporates Thor’s mighty hammer WTH?
  • We see Hela with the traditional headpiece from the comics. YES!
  • Valkyrie’s origin story comes in, of the ancient Norse Mythology variety. WAY COOL!
  • Hela sends Asgard into a blaze of fire.
  • We see the Incredible Hulk’s planet, Sakaar.
  • Thor gets his hair cut off. NO. Just No. He also gets his face painted and a cool helmet and armor very true to the comics. LEGIT.
  • Heimdall is seen
  • Green smoke #teamHulk?

YEEESSSSS! We know each other, he’s a friend from work!”

Thor: Ragnarok – The Deets

In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe less one infamous mighty hammer. Our golden-locked, twelve-pack hero finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok, the destruction of his home world and Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new ruthless villain, Hela… The Goddess of Hel.

But not before a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk! I’ll have one epic fight scene and a side of fries. Thank you.

Thor with no hammer? What? Bad ass movie alert.

The film returns Chris Hemsworth starring as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki… which has us wondering what kind of help Loki will be! Whose side will he be on? So many questions! So many things we want to know!!! They are joined by Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban, with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins, all of which will bring a level of excitement and artistry that Marvel is known for. And can we just take a moment to talk about SIR. ANTHONY. HOPKINS. I might be more excited to see his return than I am some of the other characters!
