The Black Panther film trailer recently dropped, and it has allllllll the Marvel feels. From the beginning of the trailer, we get a taste of the mystery that has always shrouded Black Panther and his country, Wakanda. With plenty of action, adventure, and shades of intrigue, the Black Panther film looks to be another block buster hit from Marvel, and it’s about time. This will be the first black superhero lead EVER cast in any movie, to my knowledge. Black Panther is also a classic addition to the Marvel cinematic universe and the Avengers lineup.
The Black Panther Film Roars into Theaters February 16th, 2018
The Black Panther film follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
The Black Panther film has something else going for it, as well, and The Walking Dead lovers out there will appreciate it – Michonne! That’s right, Danai Gurira will be playing Okoye, one of Black Panther’s personal bodyguards and wives-to-be (at least in the comic books). BOOM! The trailer shows a little bit of her in action, and I’m looking forward to some serious @$$ kicking from her.
