This year’s Met Gala theme, Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology, gave us some amazing looks. There were eco-conscious sustainable fabrics, faux armor, and even a few 90’s Tamagotchis. I think it’s safe to say nothing was boring at the Met Gala this year. Of all the looks, my favorite without a doubt was Claire Danes. She literally lit up the red carpet in her Cinderella-like Zac Posen gown that had fiber optics sewn into the organza. Aside from her gown, her hair was on point with a very Grace Kelly look that was fit for a princess. She was truly a sight to be seen and offered a look that many will want to recreate.

Renowned Hairstylist, Peter Butler was like Dane’s very own Fairy Godfather as he worked his magic to create a style that complemented both her best features as well as the dress that has everyone talking. Below you will find tips from Peter on how to achieve her hairstyle at home using Infusium 23 and PRO Beauty Tools.
2. After towel drying, spray the Infusium 23 Repair + Renew Leave-In Treatment to protect from heat and styling, tame fly-aways and also get that undeniable shine!
3. Next, dry the hair using the PRO Beauty Tools 1875W Ionic AC Motor and a round brush, moving away from the face.
4. Use PRO Beauty Tools 1 ¼ Curling Iron just around the hairline to give hair beautiful glam curls. Then run fingers through the hair lightly to break it up.
5. Finally, pull hair back smoothly into a low pony tail. Twist the ponytail into a loose knot and secure with bobby pins for that final look.
Even though trying to do my own hair usually ends in more eek than chic, these steps and tips sound easy enough that I feel confident I can pull off the look myself. Everything about Dane’s look was pure perfection. Whether you’re going out on a date or just want to spice things up a bit with your daily look, let’s all channel our own inner-princess and get to styling!
