The first trailer has officially been released for The Legend of Tarzan and can I just say that, while no one may have been asking for this film, I’m sure glad it’s coming out (and on my birthday no less). Apart from its pretty stellar cast and corncob abs, this timeless tale is being revisited by David Yates (last four Harry Potter films and the coming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them 2016).

The Legend of Tarzan Cast

Alexander Skarsgard (former True Blood vamp now Tarzan) brings his chiseled-from-stone physique to the jungle (and let’s be real to the pinterest boards of many) as the lead. Margot Robbie (Jane) inversely brings a flawless counterpart. Like could this pair get any more smoking hot? Christoph Waltz (Captain Rom), Samuel L. Jackson (George Washington Williams) and Djimon Hounsou (Cheiof Mbonga) support in key roles.

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

It’s always shard to say with reboots how the film will be but the trailer does look promising. The leads are hot at hell and I’m excited to see a film which was once made in the freshwater springs of my home state of Florida, back to the big screen in epic movie fashion. I have faith in this one and am looking forward to seeing it…and those abs.
