Watching the new Into the Woods trailer literally gives me goosebumps. To some, this may seem a conglomeration of famous fairytales. This is so much more than that. Walt Disney Pictures will yet again take us on a magical and enchanted journey through our very own half-forgotten childhood memories where cardboard boxes were castle dungeons and teddy bears were prince charmings. Into the Woods a Modern Day Retelling of the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales
Into the Woods, coming from the Broadway musical which premiered in 1987, tangles the famed classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone), and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy)—into an original story involving a baker and his wife (James Corden & Emily Blunt), who hope to begin a family if not for the evil wicked witch (Meryl Streep) who has put a curse on them. Exceptional filmmaker, Rob Marshall is known for the musical Chicago, and Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean rein the film alongside John DeLuca, Wicked producer Marc Platt and Callum McDougall.
