The 4 Camping Essentials – Living With The Bare Minimum

There are literally hundreds of things you can take on your camping trip which will come in handy during your stay. Some people take more than 10 items and they do just fine. It all depends on your preference and how you want your night out in the forest to be. One thing we can all agree on is the safety of the camping site comes first. That cannot be compromised. With that crossed off the list, it’s always a big debate when it comes to what exactly are the must-have items when going out camping? What four or five things do you really need in order to survive and come back alive?

Even though there is no definite answer, These are the 4 necessary essentials anything extra is just for luxury.

Camping Essentials

A Tent

It wouldn’t be called camping without a tent, would it? If you don’t have a tent, going out of town will just be considered a road trip or a vacation. Make sure you invest in a high-quality tent because, at the campsite, that is your house and your home. Your home has to be secure and conducive at all times. The best tent will hold firmly to the ground and protect you from any outside interferences. It will also serve you for a very long time. You can shop for the best camping tents online and read reviews to help you pick the most suitable.

Warm, Cozy Beddings

The best part of camping is being able to get a good night sleep after a day of activities and experiences. The only way to ensure that you get it is by investing in the finest sleeping bag or beddings in general. Your tent may be comfy, but the bedding has to block away from all the cold and make you feel like you are in your bed back at home. There are so many options to choose from. It all depends on your budget and preference. At the end of the day, make sure your pick achieves the desired results.

Plenty of Food

Unless you are out hunting, you should always carry enough food with you. Even if you are hunting, you won’t survive on plain meat. You will still need other ingredients, dishes or useful foods such as peanut butter. Plan out your meals beforehand and pack accordingly. Try as much as possible to stick to the meal plan so as not to run out of food before the camping ends.

Shredded Paper

Your food will still need to be cocked. One of the many uses of shredded paper, as outlined in preparednessmama.com is to start a fire and what better way to utilize it in this manner than to carry loads of them with you to your camping trip. You will easily cook, stay warm and also reduce the garbage in your home; three birds one stone. Besides, they are practically weightless. You won’t complain about carrying too many things on your trip considering you won’t even take them back with you.
