Cool Finds Litographs T-shirts, Posters and Totes from Storybooks

We always get a kick out of creative ways to promote our undying love of the greatest stories of all time. It’s kind of our thing if you haven’t noticed. So, when Litographs asked us to check out their latest story collection of t-shirts, posters and totes, the Blue Fairy Book, we raised an eyebrow. Just a few clicks later and we were raising more than that, we were downright jumping for joy! From Hans Christian Andersen to Edgar Allen Poe, Litographs T-shirts were rocking our favorite names in fairytales, fables and adventures.

Why Litographs T-shirts, Posters and Totes are Super Rad

Well aside from the obvious reason being entirely based off world-famous literature and mythology, Litographs t-shirts, posters and totes are unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. While we love a good unicorn dancing on a rainbow screen printed onto a cotton tee, litographs t-shirts actually prints the actual text from the stories on the entirety of the shirt leaving a negative space in the shape of the literature based artwork. Let me clarify, you are wearing the book!

We know him as the man who stole from the rich to give to the poor, Robin Hood f course!

You know what they say, seeing is believing, and we couldn’t believe how tiny those words were until we saw them first hand. Check out the cool stuff Litographs sent us in this short video.

More On Litographs, and Interview with Designer Benji Brooke

What makes you so passionate about literature?

We’re a whole team of passionate readers and its something we’ve found to be a great icebreaker with new friends and something that formed a strong bond as a team. We’re also big proponents of literacy for all, one of the reasons we partner with the International Book Bank to send one new, high-quality book to communities in need.

How did you find yourself to evolve into Litographs, where do your design talents stem from?

I’ve always loved to draw, ever since I was around the age of your little guy.  I studied animation and illustration in college, where I was roommates with the Litographs founder/CEO, Danny Fein.  We constantly collaborated on creative projects during school, so when Danny came up with the idea for Litographs, he asked me to produce the first collection of illustrations.  I’m now working full-time with Danny (along with a roster of amazing artists around the globe) to produce the art for the ongoing collection.

How do you do it -get all those itty bitty words on there? What’s the print technology behind the masterpieces?

Danny (our founder) wrote a program that matches a graphic with its corresponding text file. So while we may look like just book nerds on the surface, we’re a team of varied talents and backgrounds.

Will you be looking to produce other functional items in the future?

We’re content with our three core products and VERY excited for our new line of literary tattoos that will be coming to the website soon. That being said, we won’t rule out adding other literary products in the future. We ran a very successful Kickstarter campaign for the tattoos fueled by our supportive customers and new friends and I know you’ll be excited to hear that a Last Unicorn tattoo will be among the first releases. We’ll be sure to reach back out once those are for sale on our website!
