Family Reunion Ski Trip a Catered French Chalet in Val d’Isere

Fairytale Getaway for the Family

Getting family together these days can be tough. It seems like seven days a week there is something that needs to be done. Sport meets, school events, homework, cleaning, errands, the list goes on. With all of these “gotta dos” many families don’t even get the time to get together until the holidays. So why not make your own holiday, a special week or weekend for the entire family to get together and do something awesome. Why not try a fairytale getaway for the family? So I got to thinking and searching and came upon Val d’Isere, a charming ski town cradled in the Tarentaise Valley of the Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France. I dug a little deeper and found this gem, a catered French chalet in Val d’Isere big enough to sleep twelve of your craziest family members for a fairytale family reunion that you will never forget. Check out Chalet La Vieille Maison (pictured).

I just fell in love with this chalet in Val d’Isere. This cozy, rustic farmhouse cottage is truly like something from a storybook. The idea that I can have a planned family reunion and have the entire thing catered just blew me away! Its location in the old village of La Daille couldn’t be more convenient with access to all the slopes and lifts. You can ski right down to your cottage after a day at La Folie Douce. There’s even a free ski bus that runs regularly to the Val d’Isere center until late hours.

Val d’Isere borders the stunning Vanoise National Park in France. By night it glows like a lantern off the snow-covered mountains and by day it is swallowed by the stunning views of the steep white peaks. La Dialle is one of the several ski villages in this area.

If twelve is not enough to fit your Brady Bunch, this ski lodge site, also where you can find the Chalet La Vieille Maison, has private rentals that hold up to 48 people! Awesome sauce!
